About Me

I joined the military right out of high school, beginning a journey that would take me around the world over the next couple of decades. Along the way, I experienced different cultures, met extraordinary people, and discovered that despite our differences, we have far more in common than we sometimes care to admit. Those experiences shaped how I see the world, how I understand people, and ultimately, how I came to understand myself.

Somewhere along the way, I picked up a guitar, started writing songs, and discovered a love for telling stories through music. I also discovered something else: a genuine curiosity about people and their stories. I enjoyed listening, asking questions, and walking alongside others as they navigated life's challenges. Not because I had all the answers, but because I was asking many of the same questions myself. I learned that sometimes people simply need someone willing to meet them where they are, without judgment or condemnation.

That discovery eventually led me into professional coaching, where I've had the privilege of working with everyone from entrepreneurs and creatives to executives and organizational leaders. I'm a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation, with more than 1,500 hours of coaching experience. But what I value most isn't the credentials. It's the opportunity to connect with another human being and help them discover something about themselves they might not have seen before.

My faith has followed its own journey. Along the way, I came to know Jesus Christ and developed a relationship with God that continues to shape how I live and see the world. That relationship hasn't spared me from disappointment, heartache, failure, or the consequences of my own poor decisions. But it has given me an anchor when life gets rough and hope when the road ahead seems anything but clear. I'm still learning, still growing, and discovering just how much I don't know.

Music has remained a constant through it all. As I continued writing and recording songs, I began noticing that many of the blues, rock, and Americana songs I'd loved for years wrestled with the same questions I encountered in Scripture. Love, loss, fear, forgiveness, hope, and the search for something greater than ourselves. That realization inspired Roadhouse Hymnals, a collection of devotionals that uses familiar music to explore faith and the human experience.

I believe we live in a broken world, and none of us gets through it without a few scars. I've certainly collected my share. But I've also come to believe that God isn't waiting for us to clean ourselves up before He's willing to meet us. He meets us right where we are, even in the loud, crowded, messy places where we sometimes go looking for answers. That's the heart of Roadhouse Hymnals: a place where music, faith, writing, and coaching come together to explore the hope and meaning I've found in Jesus Christ, even in life's messiest moments.
