Biography

I joined the military right out of high-school and began a journey that would take me around the world over the course of a couple decades. I saw amazing things and met amazing people and the experience informed how I view the world.

My time in the military also helped me discover and develop what (I believe) are my unique God-given gifts and talents.  In that time I picked up playing guitar, songwriting, singing and performing as well as discovering I had a unique ability to connect with people wherever they are on life's journey. I discovered I had an ability to listen and walk with them on their journey free of judgement and condemnation led instead by curiosity and a desire to help them (and me) makes sense of the world we live in. That led to me pursuing a career in professional coaching to help people with their personal, professional, and spiritual growth. During this time I also came to know God and develop a relationship with Him that has become my anchor when the storms in this life become too much to bear.

Today I work for a large public accounting firm as a career coach where I help people navigate their career path by using their own unique gifts and talents. I am a credentialed Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) accumulating over 500 hours of paid personal and career coaching services. I continue to write and record music and perform throughout the midwest either solo or in band settings. I regularly play guitar on my church's worship team as a way of serving the God who gave me the gift and desire to play the instrument I enjoy so much. I am working on writing a book that will hopefully one day bring these devotionals to life in the form of a published book available worldwide so others may discover God's word through the music played by some of their own favorite artists.

Our life journeys are all unique to us, but they share a common thread; they all take us on a path through a very broken world. Our paths may look different, but it's safe to assume they include joy, pain, love, heartbreak, success and failure. We have had our moments in the sun and experienced the glory of our success and felt the pain and guilt of our mistakes and selfish choices and desires. It's what makes us all human. And it's what makes us all in need of a savior from the broken world we occupy. That savior is Jesus Christ.
